Abstract

This article dwells on the 2nd All-Russian Forum “The Arctic – Regions” that took place in Arkhangelsk in August 2024. The event’s organizers are listed, its aims and key results are pointed out. The author characterizes the contents of the forum’s central sessions as well as speeches of the key speakers. The paper highlights the main issues of the discussions about the contemporary strategy, priorities of and prospects for the development of the Russian Arctic, its role for the country, economic and social processes in this macroregion, as well as state–business relations. The article analyses the forum’s significance for the development of the Arctic and the Northern Sea Route and for interregional cooperation in the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation.
